Postage

I have calculated the postage costs using Australia Post pricing and satchels. If you are buying multiple items and it goes over the standard satchel size and pricing, please get in touch with me and I will do my best to find the most affordable postage price for you.

Sometimes all it takes is a little refolding of a creation and your items fit perfectly into the nominated Australia Post Satchel. So please get in touch

Like the other mediums I use, I like to explore and play around with the different techniques and processes with Tie Dye. Sometimes I will redye an item up to 4 times to give it depth and dimension and make it look super interesting.

Dye

I use professional quality Dyes and applications to bring you an item that will last and remain as vibrant as the day you purchased it, without the fear of colour bleeding, transfer, or fade.

I am constantly updating my skills and techniques with these dyes to make sure my work is always interesting and evolving, whilst remaining faithful to my own individual style.

Duplication

Like the other mediums I use, I like to explore and play around with the different techniques and processes with Tie Dye. Sometimes I will redye an item up to 4 times to give it depth and dimension and make it look super interesting.

Tie Dying is well known for being moody and unpredictable, especially when trying to create a particular look. For instance, sometimes colours will stay where they are placed, other times they will move and blend with other colours, or not saturate all the way through and leave unexpected white surprises.

I like this unpredictable side, as it keeps you on your toes and ensures you have an original work of art that is unique to you and your style. So please bear in mind, that If you want me to reproduce an item of mine, I can use the same colours, but you will not get the exact results. Think of each piece as an original.

Fabric Content

Most of the items I use are 100% cotton, Bamboo, or natural fibres, and unless otherwise stated are brand new i.e. baby suits, towels, shirts, bed sets, etc.

Shirt Sizing

I use Men’s shirts as I find the sizing generally more uniform. If you would like measurements lying flat, to make sure of sizing, I am happy to do so. Just let me know which shirt/s you are interested in.

Washing

I advise washing all items in cold water, with similar colors, and for the first few washes perhaps wash by themselves. A little color may come out for a wash or two, but this is normal. Hang out without delay and do not use bleach.

If intended for baby wear or sensitive skin, I would recommend you wash before use in your preferred washing product.

Upcycle

I do upcycle when the opportunity strikes or as requested. This is a great opportunity to do my part in lowering the environmental impact and reducing landfill.

You will find some of my tapestries and bedcovers are made by using ex-quality motel sheets and the odd clothing item, these will be clearly noted as upcycle.

Loved Again

The Loved Again items, take me back to the days when Gran’s and Grampa’s would re-use and recycle almost everything and repurpose it into something else or generally fix what they had. When life was a lot simpler and there was a lot less waste.

In this section, you will find items that are created using recycled, upcycled, or preloved items. They have been cleaned before dying and in some instances professionally cleaned. When the creation is finished and ready to wear, you can expect a minimum of 7 washes and possibly up to 10 washes in the time it was acquired by us and when you receive it.

The practices and techniques used are no different than using new blanks, so rest assured you have a quality wearable work of art.

By using pre-loved items, not only are we helping to lower the huge amount of landfill that is dumped daily, but we are also helping to lessen the carbon footprint. In addition, the practices used to make these creations are as sustainable and environmentally safe as possible.

Environmental impact

We strive in the studio and practices we use, to be as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible.
